I leave four weeks from tomorrow for the states and despite having prepared for this since February find myself at that oh-so-familiar panic moment of too much to do and (seemingly) not enough time. One of most pressing issues is offloading my things, alongside trying to generate funds to tide us over until I get myself set up in some sort of job. Which I am sure I will once we arrive.
One of the interesting components of filtering items in the back of cupboards is what they reflect back at you. I found three works of art related to three distinct times of my life that all seem rather distant now. I have decided to sell them.
The first ‘Breathe with Your Heart’ is a collage I made in the first year of living here.
Then ‘Wedding Dress’ as part of my 43(two) film series (2007)…..
And lastly ‘Four Corners’ a photograph of my project with Basharat Khan in 2019….
I have decided to auction all three. Bidding starts at £10 and ends on the dates listed.
Breathe With Your Heart: 12 July 2025
These are unique and rare items from my own collection.
Looking at the decades represented, and the many layers contained within I cannot help but wonder, what will the next 26 years bring?
I really like the first picture.
Our baby is due five weeks from Friday. New beginnings all round!
