In advance of our session “Labours Curriculum Review, What Can We Learn from Scotland” I decided to sit down with my colleague SUE board member, Julie Sandilands to discuss things. The Scottish Curriculum for Excellence is 'neither a curriculum nor excellent'. In this podcast (also available on Apple and Spotify platforms) I sit down with Julie Sandilands teacher, education commentator & Scottish Union for Education Board Member to elucidate what children are and are not learning through this nebulous framework.  We will be part of a panel at the Festival of Ideas in London for SUE to consider how England might learn from Scotland's mistakes.
